Women have some type of pelvic pain at any given time.
women have pelvic pain that's long term.
This is a BIG issue! If you start asking around, you will find your friends are having similar problems. No one talks about these issues because they are sometimes embarrassing. I assure you, you are not alone in this struggle.
I am Dr. Angie Stoehr, MD FACOG. I am a board certified Ob/Gyn, and have always had a special interest in pelvic pain. I am the Executive Director of the Pelvic and Intimate Pain Center, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization whose mission is to help educate both patients and doctors about pelvic and sexual pain. I have authored two books, When It Hurts Down There and WIHDT Cookbook. I currently practice obstetrics and gynecology with a very strong lean towards complicated gyn and pelvic/sexual pain disorders in a private practice in Frisco, TX. In my spare time, I fly all over the country giving lectures to resident doctors about pelvic pain and its diagnosis and treatment.
There is very little information out there online about pelvic and sexual pain disorders. What you can access easily is often inaccurate. And the information that is accurate is hard to understand. This ebook fixes both problems, offering real science based information in a format that you can actually read.
The group sites on social media are often depressing. Everyone is complaining, and no one knows what to do about it. Now, you will! And you can pass that informatio
There are painfully few gynecologists that specialize in treating pelvic and sexual pain disorders. You might be surprised to hear that doctors are not taught this information in medical school or residency training. I am desperately trying to change this. I have written this ebook to help educate you and your doctor about your pain. It describes in detail how your body and brain process pain, and what you can do to interfere with the process! Included are 15 specific techniques with detailed instructions. No more bouncing around to doctors that dismiss you as needy. You can take control of your pain right now! And you can pass this information on to your doctors so they can figure out what is causing your pain, and help treat it. Present them with a copy of the book or guide them to this website; you’ll be helping yourself and other women just like you!
In these pages, I’ll introduce you to your body’s way of recognizing and transmitting pain signals. I’ll also give you a tour of your brain and how it manages to process and make sense of the pain signals it is receiving. Then I’ll show you how to halt many of these processes with easy, at-home techniques.
What you’ll discover in this no nonsense ebook is easy to understand explanations of complicated processes in your body and brain. You will be able to finally understand why your body seems to be working against you, and you’ll learn how to work with it. You will realize why your doctor asks you about stress and depression. You will learn that pain is all about the context. You’ll also find out how to alter the context in your body and brain to make pain signals really hard to process.
You don’t need a doctor to tell you where your pain is coming from before you can start the techniques described in this ebook. I give detailed explanations of the techniques, and tell you WHY they work. And I give plenty of examples of how to do the techniques properly. No more being told it’s all in your head. You can do something about your pain, right now!
The ideas and explanations in this ebook are scientifically proven. There are over 80 medical literature articles included, and diagrams and color pictures to show you how things really work.
